Describe yourself and your play style: I'm a historian and I like playing fantasy versions of real eras. I put the game and entertainment just ahead of every other factor. I like to challenge and be challenged, but not target or abuse the characters. The "Rule of Cool" is alright if used sparingly, for all sides of an RPG.
Tell us about your favorite NPC to have run: Councilman Gene, of Saltmarsh. His original stat determination at 5th Level gave him an INT of 19 and a CHA of 8. He is the smartest person in the room and doesn't have time for those who aren't. My party knew him as an adventurer (he took credit for their slain dragon) and now as a Councilman... they've also seen that he's not entirely up for the job and have helped him save face in front of the city dwellers. (He's my most recent favorite.)
