Participants in the TTRPG Pickup Con community are welcomed to spectate on some of the games provided. The majority of these games are hosted on the Con’s Discord server. If you are spectating, you may join the game in the voice channel where it is being played (Take a look at the room numbers at the bottom of each post) but please be courteous and remain muted. There is a #spectators text channel to discuss your thoughts with other spectators without disturbing the game. The game runner may, of course, override this and allow you to chat directly in their channel. The games listed below are open for spectators in the upcoming TTRPG Pickup Con.
Friday
Once every decade, the tides of the Empyrean Ocean recede far enough to reveal the highest eaves of a mysterious undersea tower. Long ago, this was the eldritch fastness of a powerful mage, but now the tower is known simply as the final resting place of the fabled Black Pearl – an artifact rumored to bring doom upon all who dare to posses it. Tonight the moon nearly fills the sky, and the tides have already begun to recede. You have eight short hours to explore the tower before the dark waters return...

“The Stars in our Fault” is a standard one-shot in the Mavericks system. Led by Ansel Burch.
The sea has opened up a new world of mysteries deep beneath the ocean’s surface. The Merfolk have reported that this new trench is widening by the week, releasing ever colder waters into the current. Beyond the frigid event horizon, a galaxy yawns full of winking stars. It’s exactly the kind of adventure a pirate can’t resist, and you’re the crew lucky enough to get there first.
This game will be great if you like pirate stories, cosmic magics, and focusing on the narrative over tactics.
Players are welcome to bring their own characters, pre made ones will be available.

The Fish Bucket Tavern has always been the seediest swill joint in all of the Grenadines but lately the place has been a bit more… lively. Lean into the weirdness of an undead tavern, a crew of miscreants, and a high likelihood that not everyone will make it out alive.
This game will be great if you like deadly adventures, gonzo action, random tables, and never shutting up about rum.

The Guild of Sewermen need help finding a lost worker, and will pay 200gp for his return, dead or alive.
The worker is a new sewerman named Hal. A few days ago, he and several other sewermen discovered an ancient chamber revealed by a tunnel collapse following a month’s worth of rainfall in the region.
Against the advice of his foreman, Hal went inside to take a look. Shortly after, his terrified screams were heard, and the rest of the sewermen took flight. The sewermen refuse to return, and the guild now seeks the aid of adventurers."
