“Rescue on Ruie” is a Standard One Shot in the Solar Winds system, led by Andy Random
The shipping magnate Marc Hault-Oberlindes has a problem.
His son Sergei was arrested while visiting Ruie and has been imprisoned in the anti-Imperial state of Nebelthorn.
Efforts by Imperial diplomats on Ruie have failed to secure his release, so Marc has hired you to rescue him…
Rescue on Ruie was originally published in the Journal of the Travelers' Aid Society issue 1 for Classic Traveler, but we’ll be playing it using the simpler/lighter-weight (but still 2d6-based) Solar Winds.
I'll provide a couple of maps as visual aids, but we will mostly be using theatre of the mind rather than a VTT.
This game will be great if you like SciFi action/adventures like Firefly
We will build characters in session.
Characters will be managed via a Google Sheets character keeper, to which I'll provide a link at the start of the game. Character creation is quick and easy, taking only a few minutes.
Players need to have played some RPGs.
The game runner is very familiar with this system.

This game will be hosted in room #1 of the TTRPG Pickup Con Discord server. The game runner is not planning on using a VTT, but we might use an online whiteboard.
CW: Potential for violence, political oppression, corruption, and labour camps (though ultimately this is a SciFi adventure, not a horror one. So, none of those elements will be pushed hard).

Wormsign - the Dune Quickstart
A game in the Dune 2D20 system, led by Andy Random
"You are all members of House Atreides and have been sent into the desert by Duke Leto to investigate rumours of a spice smuggling operation.
This is the Dune Quickstart scenario and as such is designed to be played without any prior knowledge of the game."
This game will be great if you like Dune.
This is the quickstart scenario and will use the entry-level pregens provided with the scenario.
This game will be great for new players.

This game will be run on the con's Discord server. CW: 18+ some violence, death, criminal activity, and betrayal are all possible, but no real gore or body horror.
The Haunting House
A game in the Liminal RPG system, led by Andy Random.
Sir Tatton Northcott, a well-respected member of the Council of Merlin, has written to you from his deathbed and asked for your help. This will require your crew to investigate the ghostly legacy of a deceased magician. A legacy involving forbidden magic and dangerous ghosts. This is a published adventure for the Liminal RPG, where the magical and mundane worlds collide in the modern-day United Kingdom.
This game will be great if you like Supernatural (but with fewer guns as the game is set in the UK).
Pregen characters that are slightly better than starting characters will be provided.
This game will be best for players who have played some RPGs before.

CW: The game (not surprisingly given the title) deals with ghosts, a possible dark ritual, and necromancy, but nothing very horrific or graphic.
Easy Money!
A game in the classic Traveler system, led by Andy Random.
It seemed like an easy job, pick up cargo, take it out to the Rim, get paid... and the pay was good! Perhaps too good? Are you suspicious? Sure! Has greed overcome caution? Well Duh! I mean, how bad could it be?
This game will be great if you like Firefly.
It's a Traveller game with pre-gen characters, no levels involved.
This session will be great even for those who have never played this game.
