“The Murder Mavens” a Standard One Shot in the Brindlewood Bay. Led by Nona de Koning
BRINDLEWOOD BAY is a roleplaying game about a group of elderly women—members of the local Murder Mavens mystery book club—who find themselves solving actual murder mysteries in their quaint New England town. There is no canon solution to the mysteries, instead players must collect and piece together many different clues and come up with a convincing theory, then play to find out if they are right! The specific mystery will be one not played at TTRPG Pickup Con before and is selected based on submitted lines & veils :)
The Mavens themselves are all elderly women whose partners have passed away and whose children have long flown the nest. Now, they’re enjoying their golden years in the picturesque town of Brindlewood Bay, keeping their homes the way they like, pursuing their hobbies, and finding comfort and companionship in each other. Their mystery book club has been meeting on the top floor of The Candlelight Booksellers every Saturday evening for the last ten years. The Mavens are particularly fond of The Gold Crown Mysteries series by Robin Masterson, featuring the globe-trotting super-sleuth, Amanda Delacourt (which only exists in-universe and not in our world).
The Mavens' special interest in these books has resulted in them becoming amateur detectives themselves, and by the time the game starts, they have helped local police solve several high profile crimes. Sometimes people approach them to get their help on a case, but usually the Mavens just stumble onto it—much to the chagrin of the authorities, who almost always resent their meddling.
There are some supernatural elements in play in the background, but those will need to be uncovered through repeated plays and aren't a part of this oneshot. There is also a meta level to the setting, where the Mavens are actually characters in a TV show that the players are watching. If there is enough interest in it, the gamerunner is willing to offer this system at future cons in a West-Marches approach where both of these elements will feature more prominently.
This game will be great if you like cozy murder mysteries, PbtA games, collaborative storytelling, improv, Murder She Wrote, Riverdale, Pretty Little Liars, One Of Us Is Lying Players should build characters ahead.
Characters who played 0-2 sessions (this system has no levels). Character creation is a really quick multiple choice process. The gamerunner will contact players in advance to share handouts (rules reference & character sheets) and make your selections

Examples of potentially triggering content could include terminal illness, mental illness including mentions of attempted suicide or other self harm, bullying, substance abuse (alcohol/drugs), abandonment, kidnapping of humans or pets, imprisonment and infidelity. Not all of these are part of the same mystery, so I will work around your boundaries to provide a great game for everyone.

The syrup-making mice of Maplemoor have lost contact with their garrison in Oakhollow Keep, a lightning-hollowed stump vital to the colony’s security. What happened there? What threats remain? About Mausritter:
The settled mice huddle together, hidden in their settlements in trees and burrows and walls, scraping and saving. A tenuous existence. You are not like those settled mice. By choice or by necessity you are an adventurer. You live by your luck, your smarts, your bravery. With your friends by your side, you will abandon the warmth and safety of the mouse settlements and venture forth into the dark and dangerous places where other mice do not dare to tread. There is great wealth to be found by those who are willing to take it.
It's a huge and dangerous world out there. It does not look kindly on a small mouse. But if you are very brave and very clever and just a bit lucky, you might be able to survive. And if you survive long enough, you might even become a hero amongst mice."

"Pokeymanz is a TTRPG in the Pokémon setting using a hack of the Savage Worlds system. Battles follow the cinematic style of the anime more so than videogame stats. Moves must be roleplayed out and player creativity is highly encouraged! Using a dice step system with exploding dice, encounters will stay tense until the very end :D You do not need to be familiar with the system, but you should be enthusiastic about Pokémon (no need for a lot of knowledge) and like the idea of coming up with creative descriptions during combat.
For this introductory one shot, your Trainers will take part in the well known Bug-Catching Contest. Using just one starter Pokémon, can you catch the best one before fainting or running out of Sport Balls? If they make swift work of the competition, they can compete in a follow-up Contest in the nearby arena using their newly caught Pokémon! "

It has been over 3 months since the dead started rising. You have managed to survive with a small group over these past few months inside a small cabin in the woods. Unfortunately, your supplies are running low and if you don't restock soon, you won't make it another 2 weeks. Tensions are high and your group is starting to get restless. Your only hope is the local High School a few miles away. What awaits you in those dark halls? Can you make it out alive?

But that's all claptrap and nonsense, right?

As long as any mouse can remember, the Everstorm has raged. Torrential downpours, stiff winds, and the crackle of lightning and thunder engulf the area around a half-buried abandoned power transformer.
Those few folk that enter the storm return raving about the living dead, a haunting spectre made entirely of lightning and the mad lightning wizard behind it all.
Lately, the dead have grown more bold, attacking and dragging travelers deep within the transformer. Are your mice brave enough to weather the Everstorm and stop the living dead?

“Mausritter: Broken Oaken Tower” a Standard One Shot in the Mausritter system. Led by Nona de Koning.
While in the forest, the mice spot an infamous oak. This garry oak was once home to a powerful wizard named Illeschix. He performed arcane research within and served the needs of the small woodland folk who lived in the meadows, mostly through acorn-based magic. Years ago during a rainstorm, lightning struck the tree, breaking its largest branch and briefly setting the trunk on fire. After that, the wizard stopped leaving the tower at all. These days, people who get too close have a tendency to mysteriously disappear...

While in the forest, the mice spot an infamous oak. This garry oak was once home to a powerful wizard named Illeschix. He performed arcane research within and served the needs of the small woodland folk who lived in the meadows, mostly through acorn-based magic. Years ago during a rainstorm, lightning struck the tree, breaking its largest branch and briefly setting the trunk on fire. After that, the wizard stopped leaving the tower at all. These days, people who get too close have a tendency to mysteriously disappear...
This game will be great if you like Redwall, The Rescuers, The Hobbit, Over The Hedge, Thumbelina, and OSR style RPGs

Mausritter: The Flood Priest's Garden
A Standard One Shot in the Mausritter system. Led by Nona de Koning
In a garden, once used as a holy site by members of the Order of the Green Mice, sits a pond and a large apple tree, as well as a dark secret. From the depths of the pond, a catfish has seduced a wizened mouse mage into doing his dark bidding. High atop his tower in the apple tree, the Flood Priest uses magic from the deep to flood all of the garden and turn it into the realm of the catfish. Strange creatures have emerged from the water and the mice of Terra-Potta are fleeing the garden in droves. Rumors have been stirring that the end is near, and all will soon become the Flood Priest's Garden. You are among the few who refuse to flee. There must be a way for the catfish to be taken down or the flood priest to be stopped, perhaps after making proper alliances. Whatever you do, do it soon before the flood consumes all.

"Brineford is a small settlement on the shore of a saltwater pond known as the Brackish Basin. Its inhabitants have built their buildings from river stones, woven reeds, and mud under the protective umbrella of a small cascade of water that feeds the pond from the freshwater Goldenfork river.
When a group of beavers build a dam upstream, however, the protective waterfall and the pond dry out, along with Brineford’s livelihood. As the citizens of Brineford try to negotiate with the beavers to restore the river, they discover something else: an ancient stone door at the bottom of the drained pond. What can be inside, and does it hold the secret of the saltwater? It's up to your group of brave adventurers to venture inside and find out!"

Mission: Save Raptor Peak
A West Marches (Roughly Connected) style game in the D&D 5e system. Led by Ansel Burch
Raptor Peak has been overtaken by The Occlusion an enemy of their protector god. People in the town have lost the ability to form long term memories and their history is being erased around them while they are powerless to stop it from inside. After sending waves of adventurers out into the world, finally enough heroes have gathered in the nearby city of Harvan's Keep to make an attempt on driving The Occlusion out and saving Raptor Peak.
Players should build level 12 characters ahead. "You should build or level up your characters ahead if you are able. Otherwise, please let me know (give me any ideas you have), and I will prepare a character for you. You may use either a standard array or roll your stats (roll 4, keep 3: 7 times, drop the lowest).
Your characters should come into the session with up to six magic items: one ""common"", two "uncommon", two "rare" and one "very rare". A list is available here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items
